"Handgun 101" Course

Price of Lesson (per person):

• $45.00 (shooting your own handgun and ammunition)
• $55.00 (includes rental handgun and one box of 9mm ammunition)

Emphasis:

• Each lesson is designed to provide a basic introduction to the skill of self- defense handgun shooting. Whether your objective is to keep a handgun at home, or to pass the concealed handgun course, our user friendly lesson will cover the basic fundamentals needed to effectively operate a handgun.
• Please specify your emphasis to the instructor so they will be better able to customize the course to your individual needs. For example, some students are only concerned with keeping a handgun at home for self- protection. In such circumstances, we emphasize strict form & fundamentals. Others wish to learn how to shoot to pass the concealed handgun course, and then carry a handgun for self- protection. Here, we also emphasize form and fundamentals with an emphasis on timed simulations. Still others care little about self- protection. They would like to learn how to target shoot for fun and relaxation.

About Our Instructors:

    We receive continual praise and compliments about our instructors:

  Laura Kolb is a former international & collegiate skeet shooting champion. Laura has a thorough working knowledge of handgun operation and has a straightforward teaching style. She is also our store manager here at Champion Firearms.

  Roger Lee is an avid shooter and gun enthusiast who has probably forgotten more about shooting than the rest of us have an opportunity to learn. Roger is a fixture here at the store and range and is our resident "gun guru".

Approximate Duration of Each Lesson:

• 1- Hour

Time & Dates Offered:

• Each lesson is booked by appointment only. Although our preferred times to schedule a lesson is on Friday & Saturday morning (from 9:00 A.M. THROUGH 10:00 A.M.) each one- on- one lesson will be scheduled on an individual basis with the student.

Size Restrictions:

• Preferably one student, although couples may take the lesson together.

Requirements:

• Each shooting lesson must be pre- paid in person, well in advance of the lesson. In other words, we do not accept walk- in students for a shooting lesson, nor can we accept a credit card reservation by phone.

Terms & Conditions:

• We do require full payment in advance. In the case of a "no show", the deposit is non- refundable/ non- transferable (regardless if the class is taught or not, we have to pay our instructor's to be here for the lesson). If you are unable to make your appointment, simply provide us with 24- hours notice so we can, in turn, allow Laura or Roger to reschedule.
