All returns
Require a
return authorization number. If you wish to return an item, please
e-mail our Internet department for a return authorization number. This
will be good for a period of 30 days. Please inspect all items when you
receive them. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept returns for
exchange after a period of 30 days.
30 day policy
An authorization number is required for each shipment returned, or it
will be refused. We require this for security reasons. The number must
be written on the outside of the package when it is returned within 30
days of receipt.
"Sorry, my mistake"
Full credit, including freight charges, will be given on mistakes that
are clearly our fault, provided that the returns are made within 30
days of receipt of the package.
"Oops, I ordered the wrong model"
On returns where the customer has ordered incorrectly, Champion
Firearms will work closely with the customer to exchange the correct
item. Incorrectly ordered items must be returned via pre-paid freight.
Again, this must take place within 30 days of receipt of the order.
Restocking
All returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Absolutely no
returns will be accepted unless the goods are in 100% new condition,
and are in the unmarked original container in resalable condition. All
returned items must be returned via pre-paid freight.
Manufacturer Defects
We are not a warranty repair station for any manufacturer, and all
claims on defect must be made directly to the manufacturer. We stand
behind all the products we sell, and offer a 3 day inspection period on
all items. In the unlikely event that you receive a defective product,
we will replace that product at no charge to you except the cost of
return shipping (this does not apply to items that have been abused or
neglected, in which case there will be no return for exchange). If you
need assistance in contacting a manufacturer for repair of an item that
you purchased from Champion Firearms after the 3 day inspection period,
please feel free to e-mail our internet department for assistance.
Trade-in, not full credit
Once an item has been used and is free from defect, it will be accepted
only on a "trade-in" or "buy-back" basis. In other words, the 15%
restocking fee only applies to items returned in 100% factory new
condition.
Special orders
There will be no return on special order items. If we have to special
order a particular item from the manufacturer, we will be unable to
accept a return, regardless of restocking fee, for these items. Better
known as inventory management, it is simply not economically feasible
to stock every item. Please be sure you want the item before you order
it.
About our return policy
When you're in business as long as we've been, you've seen just about
every dirty trick in the book. This is why our return policy is
structured like it is, and serves as a safeguard to deception. For
example, we once had a very notable customer we'll call "Bill,"
purchase a pair of Zeiss 10x40 classic binoculars. This same customer
returned the binoculars the following week, reporting that he had
fallen on hard times, would never use them, and really needed his money
back. So, we did what we thought was the right thing and offered a full
refund. The next week, one of Bill's friends named "Jim" came into the
store and stated that he wanted to get a pair of binoculars just like
Bill's (when you live in a small city such as ours, you get to know
just about everyone in the shooting community). Jim went on to explain
that he really enjoyed using Bill's binoculars on their hunting trip
two weeks prior in Colorado. Playing dumb while searching for more
answers, I began to ask questions. I discovered that both Bill and Jim
had hired guides on their Elk hunting trip. Further, the reason that
Bill had probably fallen on such hard times was probably due to the
fact that he had just paid out a $10,000 guide fee for shooting a
trophy bull. I felt like a complete idiot for offering the refund, and
immediately implemented a 3 day inspection period, together with an
exchange only policy (I figured it would take longer than that to get
to Colorado and back this time, but I wouldn't be duped out of a sale!).
Internet Shipping Policy
Tracking Numbers and Order Status After placing your order, you will
receive an order confirmation via e-mail. Your shipment will be
processed in the order in which it was received and you will be
provided with a tracking number via e-mail when your order ships. In
the case of multiple shipments due to order size, an individual
tracking number will be provided to you for each package shipped.
Payment method(s)
All orders must be paid using credit card, money order, or cashier's
check to receive same day shipping. All personal or company checks will
be held for a period of 14 days. C.O.D. is not available at this time.
Carrier(s)
Most orders will be shipped via UPS. Larger orders may be shipped
freight line if it is more economical to do so. Shipment All orders
received by 1:00p.m. Central Standard Time should be processed a
shipped same day, except during holiday and peak seasons. Similarly,
orders will be processed between the hours of 9:00a.m. - 7:00p.m.CST.
In the event that some items ordered are not in stock (which, in the
case of highly requested and hard to find items, may be frequent), we
will make every attempt to offer an estimated time of arrival and
estimated ship date, along with a timely response via e-mail.
Shipping charges
Actual charges will be assessed on all orders. This includes shipping, handling and insurance.
Our retail store vs. Our online store
Sorry, even with hard to get items, we will not ship items from our
retail showroom without written consent. Otherwise, all items will be
shipped unopened as they are received directly from the manufacturer or
distributor.
On-line merchandise
In instances where a hard to get or discontinued item is requested, you
must fill out a consent waiver stating that you are aware that the item
will come from our showroom. Under normal circumstances, we feel more
comfortable reserving such items for customers that have the
opportunity to view the item before they purchase it.
Legality
Check all state and local laws before ordering. All firearms will be
shipped directly to Federal Firearms Class I licensed dealers for
transfer to individuals. All local, state and federal laws apply to the
performance of background checks and waiting periods. We do not ship
high capacity magazines to California, New York City, Washington D.C.
or Massachusetts. Hawaiian residents cannot receive pistol magazines
over 10 rounds. Maryland residents cannot receive magazines over 20
rounds. New Jersey residents cannot receive magazines over 15 rounds.
Certain military style semi-automatic firearms, more commonly referred
to as "assault weapons," are illegal for sale in some states. General
liability statement Merchandise listed on this site is not for sale in
any state, district or territory where the receipt, possession, sale or
use of any such merchandise is prohibited. As the end user, it is your
responsibility to research all local laws and statutes to ensure that
no improprieties exist. Furthermore, firearms and accessories could be
dangerous if used improperly. If you have any question with respect to
your ability to exercise sound judgment or offer sound advice, please
do not purchase or own firearms and related accessories. Please shoot
responsibly!
"Don't lie for the other guy"
As a participant in the National Shooting Sports Foundation's "Don't
lie for the other guy" program, we strongly discourage "Straw-man"
purchases. If someone else is ineligible by law to purchase a firearm
or accessories, please preserve our gun heritage and future by saying
"NO" when asked to purchase such items for these individuals.
Pricing
Prices are subject to change without notice. Our online prices, in some
instances, may be lower than our retail store's prices. When prices are
calculated, we must take into account the cost of goods sold, which
tend to be slightly higher in our store. In such instances, we simply
cannot match our online price at our store location. Similarly, we pass
along every discount that we receive from manufacturers and
distributors. In such instances where these anticipatory prices expire,
and the discounts are no longer in place, we will adjust prices to
match current cost.
Ammunition
All ammunition orders require an ammo statement to be on file. An ammo
statement consists of a readable copy of a driver's license or valid
I.D. along with a legible statement that states, "I am at least 21
years of age and no local, state or federal law prohibits me from
buying ammunition." This statement will be kept on file and will be
valid till your license expires. Damages Claims of damages or damaged
shipments must be made directly with the carrier for immediate and
proper claim handling. Our responsibility must cease when delivery is
made to carrier in good order.
